Ipamorelin

Ipamorelin is a selective agonist of the ghrelin receptor and a growth hormone secretagogue. It is a premium pentapeptide associated with reduced fat, reduced hunger, and lower water retention in healthy adults.

It is also well-regarded as an anti-aging peptide that increases bone mineral content and helps to build tighter and leaner muscle mass.

The unnatural D amino acids in its sequence impart stability and this peptide is highly selective, inducing only the secretion of growth hormone without interfering with the levels of other biological molecules such as adrenocorticotropic hormone or cortisol.

Ipamorelin was originally developed by Novo Nordisk and was investigated in phase II clinical trials for the treatment of postoperative ileus. Although it was not effective for this purpose its pharmacokinetic properties are well studied and as such its effects on human subjects are relatively well characterized and understood.

Ipamorelin is sold in vials containing 2MG of lyophilised powder which can be reconstituted by adding a convenient amount of sterile or bacteriostatic water.

Dosage:

Ipamorelin is sold in vials containing 5MG of lyophilised powder. The contents can be reconstituted by adding a convenient amount of sterile or bacteriostatic water.

For example:

5mg of powder

2.5ml of bacteriostatic water

equals 2,000 mcg/ml

At time of dosing, an insulin syringe is used to draw and then inject the desired amount.

In the above example, a 100 mcg dose would require only 0.05 mL, or “5 IU” as marked on an insulin syringe. A 300 mcg would require 0.15 mL, or “15 IU” as marked on an insulin syringe.

Injection may be subcutaneous or intramuscular according to personal preference.

Dosing will ordinarily be at least twice per day and preferably 3 times per day for best effect
