Product Summary:

Retatrutide is a new entrant into the rapidly-expanding space of peptides. It is known as a GGG tri- agonist. This means that Retatrutide works at all of the incretin receptors including GLP-1 and GIP as well as the glucagon receptor itself. Research indicates that retatrutide may be the most effective weight loss peptide yet developed in research subjects, with some studies showing a rapid and sustained weight loss response as high as 24% of total body weight. Retatrutide is thought to promote weight loss by increasing energy expenditure as well as decreasing energy consumption. It does the former via action at the glucagon receptor and the latter through both central and peripheral appetite control.

How Does Retatrutide Work?

In vivo research indicates that retatrutide activates and is a full agonist of all of the incretin receptors including GIPR, GLP-1R, and GCGR. Retatrutide was specifically designed to be highly potent at the GIPR and GLP-1R locations. As a result, retatrutide is one of the most potent incretins available and thus has strong effects on both gastric emptying and the central control of hunger/satiety. Research shows that the bulk of retatrutide’s effects are driven by loss of fat mass that is probably the result of a larger and more prolonged reduction in food intake compared to similar peptides. Decreased food intake, especially as occurs early in the use of the peptide, jump starts fat oxidation. This sets the stage for prolonged weight loss by altering basal metabolism and overcoming the hormonal forces that perpetuate obesity.

Dosage:
Retatrutide is sold in vials containing 10MG of lyophilised powder which should be stored under refrigeration. (It is acceptable however for them to be mailed unrefrigerated). The contents can be reconstituted by adding a convenient amount of sterile or bacteriostatic water.

Benefits

  • Weight ReductionClinical trials have demonstrated significant dose-dependent weight loss, with subjects achieving an average of 24% body weight reduction over 48 weeks at higher doses.
  • Glycemic ControlAs a tri-agonist, it enhances insulin secretion and sensitivity via the GIP and GLP-1 receptors, leading to improved glucose tolerance and lower HbA1c levels.
  • Appetite SuppressionThe GLP-1 and GIP receptor agonism centrally modulates appetite, leading to reduced caloric intake without compensatory increases in hunger.
  • Energy ExpenditureThe glucagon receptor agonism contributes to increased resting energy expenditure, which may accelerate fat loss beyond appetite suppression alone.
  • Hepatic HealthStudies show a marked reduction in liver fat content, suggesting a role in addressing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
  • Lipid ProfileResearch indicates favorable changes in blood lipids, including reductions in triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.

Potential Side Effects

  • Gastrointestinal DistressDose-dependent nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are the most commonly reported side effects, typically occurring during dose escalation and often subsiding over time.
  • Appetite & EnergyA significant reduction in appetite is an intended effect but can be accompanied by feelings of fatigue, particularly in the initial stages of research.
  • Gallbladder EventsRapid weight loss is associated with an increased risk of cholelithiasis (gallstones), and cases have been noted in clinical trials.
