Product Summary:

Retatrutide is a new entrant into the rapidly-expanding space of peptides. It is known as a GGG tri- agonist. This means that Retatrutide works at all of the incretin receptors including GLP-1 and GIP as well as the glucagon receptor itself. Research indicates that retatrutide may be the most effective weight loss peptide yet developed in research subjects, with some studies showing a rapid and sustained weight loss response as high as 24% of total body weight. Retatrutide is thought to promote weight loss by increasing energy expenditure as well as decreasing energy consumption. It does the former via action at the glucagon receptor and the latter through both central and peripheral appetite control.

How Does Retatrutide Work?

In vivo research indicates that retatrutide activates and is a full agonist of all of the incretin receptors including GIPR, GLP-1R, and GCGR. Retatrutide was specifically designed to be highly potent at the GIPR and GLP-1R locations. As a result, retatrutide is one of the most potent incretins available and thus has strong effects on both gastric emptying and the central control of hunger/satiety. Research shows that the bulk of retatrutide’s effects are driven by loss of fat mass that is probably the result of a larger and more prolonged reduction in food intake compared to similar peptides. Decreased food intake, especially as occurs early in the use of the peptide, jump starts fat oxidation. This sets the stage for prolonged weight loss by altering basal metabolism and overcoming the hormonal forces that perpetuate obesity.

Dosage:
Retatrutide is sold in vials containing 10MG of lyophilised powder which should be stored under refrigeration. (It is acceptable however for them to be mailed unrefrigerated). The contents can be reconstituted by adding a convenient amount of sterile or bacteriostatic water.

Benefits

  • Weight ReductionPhase 2 clinical trials demonstrated unprecedented weight loss, with participants averaging a 24.2% body weight reduction over 48 weeks.
  • Glycemic ControlThe tri-agonist mechanism potently improves glycemic control by enhancing insulin secretion, improving insulin sensitivity, and regulating glucagon.
  • Lipid MetabolismResearch subjects show significant improvements in their lipid profiles, including notable reductions in triglycerides and LDL-cholesterol.
  • Hepatic HealthThe glucagon receptor agonist component specifically targets liver fat, leading to a marked reduction in hepatic steatosis in individuals with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
  • Appetite SuppressionBy activating GLP-1 and GIP receptors in the central nervous system, Retatrutide produces a strong satiety signal, leading to reduced caloric intake.
  • Energy ExpenditureThe glucagon component is understood to increase resting energy expenditure, contributing another vector for weight loss beyond caloric restriction.

Potential Side Effects

  • Gastrointestinal EventsThe most common side effects are gastrointestinal in nature, including nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting, especially during the dose escalation period.
  • Appetite and FatigueA significant reduction in appetite is an expected effect of the peptide's mechanism, and some subjects may also experience fatigue.
  • Gallbladder IssuesAs with other incretin-based therapies, there is a potential risk of gallbladder-related adverse events, such as gallstones, often associated with rapid weight loss.
  • Injection Site ReactionsMild and transient reactions, like redness, itching, or swelling at the injection site, may occur.
